 Abraham Fischler is the President Emeritus and University Professor at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He served as President of Nova University from July 1970 to July 1992. Prior to coming to Nova in 1966, Dr. Fischler was Professor of Education at the University of California, Berkeley. He began his career in education as a science teacher and earned his Ed.D. Degree at Columbia University. He subsequently became Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Education, Harvard University. After his retirement as President, he served on the Broward County School Board as President from 1994-1998.

Dr. Fischler has been a consultant to the Ford Foundation, to various State Departments of Education, and to school districts in a number of states. He has authored many articles and publications dealing with education and teaching methods. He is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and a member of numerous other educational and scientific organizations. He is also very active in the community, serving on many local, county, and state boards and committees, which include, but are not limited to, Chair of the Master Planning Committee for the City of Hollywood, Chair of the Broward Education Foundation, Chair of the South Florida Community Blood Center, Co-Chair of the Sun Sentinel Diversity Venture Fund, Vice-Chair of the Legislative Committee for Work Force One, and member of the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

Executive Director & Marketing Consultant

 Dana L. Klein has been the Managing Director of DKMC, Inc., public relations firm that specializes in publicity, imaging and positioning, recruitment, and efficient promotion for a variety of clients and industries for ten years. Prior to DKMC, Inc., Dana Klein was the Sales Manager of Z99fm in the Cayman Islands for three years creating sales strategies and promotions for such clients as Wendy’s, Dominoes Pizza, Coca Cola, Budweiser, and Frito Lay. In addition to developing programs that increased sales by 25% within one year, she created an in house advertising agency for the company, developing unique advertising plans with customized jingles. Before moving to the Cayman Islands, Dana worked in Boston with Cambridge Cable Television, the Boston Globe, Berkshire Business News, Journal Newspapers, and the Pittsfield Gazette. Positions held over the last twenty years include Event Coordinator, Radio DJ, Advertising Representative in all Media, Copy & Features Writer for all Media, and Videographer and Video Editor. In addition, she created her own arts and crafts business, working as a vendor for stores and event venues.

Dana Klein has a Master’s Degree from Emerson College in Media Management where she wrote a thesis on the International Impact of American Satellite Policy and became an Assistant Teacher. She also has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Communications in Radio, Television, and Film Production with a minor in English.

Creative Design Director

 Rebecca Estrella is a seasoned graphic designer with 12 years of professional experience in the South Florida market. Originally form the Dominican Republic she graduated from the International Fine Arts College in the Miami Commercial Art program. Her multi faceted talents lie in corporate identity and imaging packages for media branding as well as high tech design for multi media presentations and websites. She oversees all collateral development from printing to posting analyzing color palates and matches to bleeds and traps.

Rebecca’s knowledge of fluent English and Spanish coupled with her technical expertise in QuarkXpress, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Pagemaker allow her to work with a variety of different clients, both on and off site.

Multi Media Producer

 Steve Sarsfield is a media specialist with over 15 years of experience in all aspects of multi media production including scripting, pre and post production services, location scouting, conversions to and from foreign systems, and CD Rom and DVD productions, etc.

After becoming a Veteran of the Gulf War Armed Forces and studying in Europe, he graduated from Towson State University in Towson, Maryland with a Bachelors Degree in Mass Communications and Television Production. His versatile work experience includes the Lifetime Studios in New York/ New Jersey are in the historic Kaufman Astoria Studios, CNBC, and Comcast Cable.

From 1998 to the present, he has worked in South Florida using equipment such as Pinnacle Liquid Chrome’s digital editing and DVD production solution, Beta SP analog systems, and other software based applications to produce award winning projects that include feature film editing, broadcast television programming and commercials, industrial tapes, and training and educational videos. Recent clients include Maverick Entertainment, Breakaway Films, Cunard Cruise Lines’ Queen Mary 2, The Design Center of the Americas, KLM Airlines, and North American Airlines.

Photographer

Rick Perkins is a 20 year veteran in Photography with a portfolio of work from the Los Angeles Museum of Art, Champion Photo, MyRaceDay.com and Lifetime Imaging where he did the pioneer work for Digital Green Screen. He was also an instructor of Photography in Buffalo, New York. He maintains a library of 35 mm slides, prints, and digital images of wildlife, nature, portraiture, events, sports, and products. Rick works with Express Digital and Photo Shop allowing for experimental and professional design using high tech imaging.

As a photojournalist, Rich has worked with the Associated Press and Hanza Gazette in Okinawa, Japan with the United States Marine Corps. Other publications include: Southern Muscle Magazine, LACMA Teacher and School Programs Brochure, and FOJAC News. In the Marines, Rick’s assignments included Communications Intelligence Analyst and Transmission Security Team Instructor and original field tests of the Mobile Electronic Warfare Support System (MEWSS).
